State Enhances Control of the Grain Market
The First Vice Prime Minister Andriy Klyuev outlined the problems related to this year’s harvest. "More than 28 million tons of grain has been harvested so far. The State must prevent an increase of bread price on the domestic market. There is enough of high-quality grain to ensure procurement by the Agrarian Fund, renew the supply of the State Reserve and formation of regional funds for domestic needs of the country," the official said. “However, strange things happen: delays in the purchase of grain for personal needs, irrational use of remnants of grain, manipulation with prices and quality indicators."
