Bern and Kyiv Support Fair Competition

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and Swiss Competition Committee agreed to deepen cooperation. They will deal with anticompetitive conspiracies, which can occur during state procurement processes. The Chairmen of the two institutions, Oleksandr Melnychenko and Walter Stoffel, signed the corresponding agreement in Kyiv, the press service of the AMCU reports. During the negotiations, the parties agreed to consult each other about the implementation of the competition policy on a regular basis. “Ukraine has made great progress in the sphere of protection and development of competition and we are interested in further cooperation, which will include dealing with the problems of monopoly abuse and joint investigation of activities of certain financial institutions,” Mr. Stoffel underscored. Oleksandr Melnychenko and Walter Stoffel also agreed to exchange information, which can be of interest to both countries.
