The President of Ukaine, Victor Yanukovych, received credentials from the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Ukraine, Mikhail Zubarov.

The Ambassador mentioned that in his inaugural speech Victor Yanukovych said that the development of bilateral Ukrainian-Russian relations will become one of the priorities of the external policy of Ukraine. Mikhail Zubarov assured the Head of the Ukrainian State that the Russian Embassy and he personally will do everything in their power to develop good-neighborly and partnership relations between the two countries, President’s press service reports.

In his turn, Victor Yanukovych underscored: “In spite of such a difficult time we will do everything we can for the relations between our countries to rise to the level of strategic partnership .”
